Eccl 1:14
“I saw all the deeds that are done under the sun; and see, all is vanity and a chasing after wind.”
In (Matthew 10:39), (Mark 8:35), (Luke 17:33), and (John 12:25) Jesus is recorded as saying, “whoever loves their life will lose it but whoever loses their life for Him will gain it! Not every story, encounter, and parable were written in all 4 gospels. This is evidence of how important of a statement this is to Jesus.
We spend our entire lives focused on money, status, mentions, and follows but still deep down you’re not happy and you’ve never been happy. Sure, you’ll have moments of happiness but it’s not long lasting. You thought the next promotion would make you happy. You thought the attention from your relationship would make you happy. You thought the increased sales in your business or new duties in your non for profit would create long lasting happiness.
All that is done to include successes under the sun is vanity and is compared to chasing the wind in (Ecclesiastes 1:14) It’ll never permanently fulfill you, this void can only be filled with the love of Jesus and a personal relationship with Him.
If you are not saved or know someone that isn’t saved and what I mean by saved is believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior please follow the ABCs of salvation below by repeating.
Accountability- say, Dear God, I am a sinner,
Believe, I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for all of my sins, past, present, and future and finished the work on the cross.
Confess - I believe that you resurrected from the grave on the 3rd day and confess you as Lord and Savior of my life. Heavenly Father thank you for sending Jesus to die in my place and I am now the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.
After this, simply believe it in your heart.
I’m So Free!!!
