Luke 10:39-42
“And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
Don’t You care? That’s a question that many people think when it comes the Father. We see all these things going on around the world and even in our personal lives and we are quick to cast the Father off because He doesn’t “come through” when we want Him to. It’s our responsibility to cast all our cares on the Lord continually. In Peter it says, “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” Our job is to cast ALL our cares upon Him. When we keep our cares it turns into depression and worry. The devil is seeking out who is devour-able. That leaves an in for the devil to slide in. Fear, worry, and stress are all access points to where the devil can use against you. He turns them into a distraction to steal your peace and joy. The more you worry about something the more the devil will use it against you. Cast All Your Cares!
How do you cast all your cares? Enjoying what Christ has done.
He loves us first and foremost. Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” He loves us so much He died for us. Despite of our shortcomings.
The Father wants to take All our cares. In Luke 12 it says, “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” He cares for us so much, He knows how many hairs we have! And you know your hair number changes daily. That’s love! In every intimate detail He cares!
In the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10) He shows how much He loves us. A man was beaten and robbed and left for dead. A priest passed by. A supposedly man of God. He didn’t stop to help. Next a Levite. A deacon of sorts. He also didn’t stop. Passed by on the other side. Lastly, a Samaritan, which represents Jesus, came to where he was. Like Jesus, coming down from heaven to where we are to save us. He had compassion. It was nothing about us to make Him love us or stop and help. It was purely love. He took the man bandaged him up and gave him oil and wine. Healing and joy! Took care of him completely! Not based on what the man did or what we did. It’s Jesus coming to take care of us for a lifetime! He gave us His position! Take care of him is what He told the inn keeper! When I come back I’ll pay for whatever more was spent. He wants to take care of us forever!
The next story in Luke 10 was Mary and Martha. Martha was worrying and stressing about many things. And Mary was posted at His feet not worrying about a thang! That’s the key. One thing is needed. That’s to sit and His feet and take from Him. There’s nothing you can give Him.
So how do you cast all yours cares? Sit at His feet and receive from Him. Cast all your worry and cares. Everything you’re stressing and thinking about give it to Him! This is the key. One thing is necessary and that will lead you to all other things. Peace. Joy. Prosperity. Healing. Deliverance. Forgiveness of sin. Wholeness. All the benefits that came through the cross and Him raising. That’s the importance of sitting at His feet. To remind us of what He already did and receive!
You wonder why I’m SoFree? I rely on all that Jesus has already did for me. Ain’t worried abut my shortcomings. Ain’t worried about what I did or didn’t do. Purely know He got me! It’s up. He’s coming
If you are not saved or know someone that isn’t saved and what I mean by saved is believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior please follow the ABC’s of salvation below by repeating.
Accountability- say, Dear God, I am a sinner,
Believe- I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for all of my sins, past, present, and future and finished the work on the cross.
Confess- I believe that you resurrected from the grave on the 3rd day and confess you as Lord and Savior of my life. Heavenly Father thank you for sending Jesus to die in my place and I am now the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9
