Romans 12:2
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
I don’t love this world. I never have. Always been different. Always been quiet. Always been the black sheep. Even before Christ found me I was “weird” and to myself. Wasn’t nice looking. Wasn’t the best talker. All I believed in was a ball. I could always do those things well. That kept me out the way. I seen a lot and with that I learned what to do and what not to do. That’s wisdom. Learning from the mistakes of others. Growing up in a law based church it provided a solid foundation to where I am now. I’ve learned I can’t do it on my own. No matter how hard I try or how much I work for it, my good will never be good enough. I can’t stop sinning enough to earn salvation. When I understood the fullness of the gospel and what all came with that finished work of Jesus Christ things changed. It was a lot more freedom. I could do things that were completely off limits. Things I was “restricted” from. But also with that freedom it allowed more things to sneak in and get a foot hold. Always have been women. First it was wet dreams. Then it was touching. Then it was sexing. I would stop for a minute then fall right back. Each time worse than the time before. Grace is not a license to sin. It’s knowing all your sins are forgiven no matter what you do. Past. Present. Future. Paul said,” All things are lawful [that is, morally legitimate, permissible], but not all things are beneficial or advantageous. All things are lawful, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life].” And that’s the difference, knowing your limit on all things. We can do whatever we want but there’s earthly consequences. These things were put in place to protect us. Drink but not get drunk. Have sex but in marriage. Eat but don’t be a glutton. You can go out with your friends. You can hit a concert or a movie. But know your limits! Some sins we do are just blatantly hurting ourselves. Ain’t no middle ground on that. This is why they told us when we your younger not to do certain things. I understood when I got older. If they would have had that message and if I would have it, but on the side of grace more people would still be locked in and not “fallen away.” Like I said earlier in this devotional, I don’t love this world. I’m really nothing on it. Am I ready to go? Yes. What’s the hold up? I need to bring as many people as I can to the Lord. That’s all that ever matters. Souls!!!! He’s on His way sooner than some think to get His people! And hopefully we not like Lot’s wife, who loved this world. He’s coming
If you are not saved or know someone that isn’t saved and what I mean by saved is believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior please follow the ABCs of salvation below by repeating.
Accountability- say, Dear God, I am a sinner,
Believe, I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for all of my sins, past, present, and future and finished the work on the cross.
Confess - I believe that you resurrected from the grave on the 3rd day and confess you as Lord and Savior of my life. Heavenly Father thank you for sending Jesus to die in my place and I am now the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9
After this, simply believe it in your heart.
