Sin Offering

Hebrews 10:10-14

Father God is not examining your sin, He’s examining your lamb, “sin offering”.

Purpose of the Sin Offering (Leviticus 4)

Atonement for Sin: The sin offering was a sacrifice to provide atonement for unintentional sins that had occurred.

Purification: The blood of the sin offering was sprinkled on the altar, purifying it from the defilement caused by sin.

Symbolic Transfer of Guilt: The act of laying hands on the animal's head before it was killed symbolized the transfer of guilt from the sinner to the animal.

Sin is still sin in the sacrifice. Just like Jesus took our sins at the cross, He's our perfect sin offering. Now, we can choose to focus on our sins, or understand that God is focused on our sin offering!

Every time someone came with their lamb, the priest could either look at the “SINNER” or the LAMB, but we know that Israel of old, the priest DOES NOT look at the sinner. There's no point looking at the sinner. The sinner is there because obviously they have sinned.

The priest examined how good the sinner’s lamb or “sin offering” was. The priest never examined “how good” the sinner was. Again, obviously, the sinner was there because they have sinned. Remember, the priest examined the lamb as your sin offering not you and your sins.

If there is no spot, no blemish in the lamb, the sinner is accepted in the spotlessness of the lamb. The sinner walks away innocent and the lamb takes all of the guilt upon it. God is not examining you. He's examining your sin offering. Our sin offering is Jesus. (1 Peter 1:19) says, But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Since Jesus is perfect as your sin offering, as he is, so are we in this world! (1 John 4:17)

If you are not saved or know someone that isn’t saved and what I mean by saved is believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior please follow the ABCs of salvation below by repeating.

Accountability- say, Dear God, I am a sinner,

Believe, I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for all of my sins, past, present, and future and finished the work on the cross.

Confess - I believe that you resurrected from the grave on the 3rd day and confess you as Lord and Savior of my life. Heavenly Father thank you for sending Jesus to die in my place and I am now the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.

After this, simply believe it in your heart.

I’m So Free!!!
