Proverbs 27:12
“A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; The simple pass on and are punished.”
We as people can be prideful at times. We think we can handle more than we really can. “Naw, I got it.” “Don’t worry about it.” These are a couple of bars we like to get off. The Script for today says a prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; while the simple pass on that way and are punished.
Prudent-acting with or showing care and thought for the future.
I’ve always carried this trait. Even when I was younger I would look to the mistakes of others and choose a different path. When you’re quiet you’re always watching. Perceptive. Learning. Seeing how you can be better. Not just to be better than others but being better for yourself to help others. The times I ventured off on some foolishness it was by choice. I seen where it can lead. I thought I had it under control. End up falling right on my face. Playing too much. The best thing for me is to go cold turkey. Don’t even set myself up for failure. It’s either one or the other with me. I know my limits. I see evil and I dip. I know me! Paying attention lil baby. Don’t play with it. It’s ok not to go that direction. It’s ok to disappear and hide yourself. Better to avoid foolishness than to get caught in it. Looking back people would do things different. I hear it all the time. Why it’s important to ask God for wisdom. You’ll be able to see foolishness coming from a distance. I love that free. I love we can make our own decisions. I love we don’t determine the consequences of our mistakes. I love there’s forgiveness. Some make it back. Some are lost forever. Be prudent. Pay attention. Care for yourself. Care for your future.
He’s coming
If you are not saved or know someone that isn’t saved and what I mean by saved is believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior please follow the ABC’s of salvation below by repeating.
Accountability- say, Dear God, I am a sinner,
Believe- I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for all of my sins, past, present, and future and finished the work on the cross.
Confess- I believe that you resurrected from the grave on the 3rd day and confess you as Lord and Savior of my life. Heavenly Father thank you for sending Jesus to die in my place and I am now the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9
After this, simply believe it in your heart.
