Ephesians 1:6
“to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”
John 13:23, John 19:26, John 20:2, and John 21:7 are all the times the Apostle John boasted in how much he was loved by the Lord. It was always “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” John knew and understood how much he was loved by the Lord. Not the other way around. The more you boast in something in and of yourself, the more you fail. Let’s look at Peter. He was always ready to prove his love for Jesus and in the time he was needed most he denied Him 3 times. Proud people are insecure. We can’t do it on our own. Our focus has to be on His love for us and not our love for Him. I was talking to my homegirl last night and she was like “why don’t you just do want you want to do since all our sins are forgiven?” I said, “his grace is not a license to sin. When you really know how much someone loves you, you can’t continue to play with that and be in peace.” I choose to be on one. I choose to lose focus. I choose to turn my back on what I know when I slip back into willful sin. I never blame the enemy. He has no power over a believer. He can only tempt and we choose to fall into it. When I fall off, it only happens when I forget how much I am really loved and try to do it of my own power. One of the pastors when I was younger asked me one day, “do you still love the Lord?” I looked at him and said, “it’s not dependent on my love for Him but understanding and knowing how much I’m loved by Him.” He didn’t know what to do with that. We want something to do to prove ourselves. We want that law. Them do’s and do not’s. That’s why it was given to the Israelites. In pride they said to God “all you command we can do.” Mood change. Bet. No more grace. All law. 3000 died that day as soon as the law came. We as believers when we know how much we’re loved by the Father, it will affect the way we live through the life. “How shall He not also with Him freely give us all things.” Let’s live not only in word but in power in and through His love. He’s coming
If you are not saved or know someone that isn’t saved and what I mean by saved is believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior please follow the ABCs of salvation below by repeating.
Accountability- say, Dear God, I am a sinner,
Believe, I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for all of my sins, past, present, and future and finished the work on the cross.
Confess - I believe that you resurrected from the grave on the 3rd day and confess you as Lord and Savior of my life. Heavenly Father thank you for sending Jesus to die in my place and I am now the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.
After this, simply believe it in your heart.
