Jude 22, 23
“And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.”
The devotionals have been super loving and kind and always with grace. But some need to be saved by fear. Let's talk about Hell today. Jesus spoke about Hell more than anyone else in the Bible. 23 times He spoke about it. Here are some of the verses below.
Matthew 5:22 “But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.”
Matthew 25:41 ““Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:”
Luke 12:5 “But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!”
Matthew 22:13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, [b]take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
Mark 9: It is better for you to enter into life [j]maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to [k]hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— 44 [l]where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched.’
Obviously, it's a place no one should desire to go. Weeping and gnashing of teeth. The fire never goes out. Outer darkness. It's eternal. That's forever. He never attended us to go to Hell. It was created for the devil and his angels as you have seen above. It's our choice. I love that free will! In the gospels it talks about the sin you can never come back from. Cursing the Holy Spirit. When you deny the Spirit tugging on your heart, you're denying God. When you won't accept Him and His finished work, your denying God. When you blatantly deny God, you're denying God! And from that you can't come back from my friend. When we put the ABC's at the end of these devotionals it's for you. It's so simple. You can blame whatever you want for not accepting Him as Lord and His finished work, but it's ultimately on you. That church hurt is not a good enough excuse. That seeing "church folk' be hypocritical is not a good enough excuse. That being not ready is not a good enough excuse. Thinking you're doing enough good is not a good enough excuse. There's only way back to the Father and that's through believing in Jesus Christ and accepting His finished work. He is the only way! Your choice like it has always been. He's coming
Accountability- say, Dear God, I am a sinner,
Believe- I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for all of my sins, past, present, and future and finished the work on the cross.
Confess- I believe that you resurrected from the grave on the 3rd day and confess you as Lord and Savior of my life. Heavenly Father thank you for sending Jesus to die in my place and I am now the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9
After this, simply believe it in your heart.
