Matthew 3:17, Matthew 4:3

“This is the one of whom the prophet Isaiah spoke when he said, “The voice of one crying out in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.’ ” And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.””

Your identity is either in Christ or you’re in an identity crisis.

Right after God the Father proclaimed that Jesus was His beloved son (Matthew 3:17) the enemy popped out to tempt Jesus. (Matthew 4:3) If you notice, the tempter purposely left out the term “beloved” when he asked Jesus if he was the son of God.

The enemy went forward tempting Jesus, as He fought back with the written word. When (Hebrews 4:15) states Jesus was tempted in every way it shows that His identity was being tested by the tempting of Satan.

Jesus knew who He was and he knew the Father’s love for him. Likewise, today (Romans 6:4-5) we were buried and rose in Christ which is our confidence of whose we are and that God loves us through all our temptations. That love along with the written word of God gives us our identity and the power to overcome every temptation.

If you are not saved or know someone that isn’t saved and what I mean by saved is believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior please follow the ABCs of salvation below by repeating.

Accountability- say, Dear God, I am a sinner,

Believe, I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for all of my sins, past, present, and future and finished the work on the cross.

Confess - I believe that you resurrected from the grave on the 3rd day and confess you as Lord and Savior of my life. Heavenly Father thank you for sending Jesus to die in my place and I am now the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.

After this, simply believe it in your heart.
