Genesis 19:18-20

“But Lot said to them, “No, my Lords, please! Your servant has found favor in your eyes, and you have shown great kindness to me in sparing my life. But I can’t flee to the mountains; this disaster will overtake me, and I’ll die. Look, here is a town near enough to run to, and it is small. Let me flee to it—it is very small, isn’t it? Then my life will be spared.””

When you are used to chaos, peace is uncomfortable and boring. Like Lot you might even think your life would end if you were to move away from the chaos, drama and discord.

Lot’s wife was such a “city girl” that she couldn’t help but turn around to see the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah after being warned not to. Lot also begged not to be forced to the mountains but to a small town as close as possible to Sodom and Gomorrah where all the chaos was occurring.

In John 14:27, Jesus told us that He leaves His followers His peace. Not the peace that the world gives which is basically coping mechanisms. As a believer, it’s okay to not involve yourself in every little thing. Don’t allow everyone’s drama to become your emergency. Rest in the Peace that Jesus left you.

If you are not saved or know someone that isn’t saved and what I mean by saved is believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior please follow the ABCs of salvation below by repeating.

Accountability- say, Dear God, I am a sinner,

Believe, I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for all of my sins, past, present, and future and finished the work on the cross.

Confess - I believe that you resurrected from the grave on the 3rd day and confess you as Lord and Savior of my life. Heavenly Father thank you for sending Jesus to die in my place and I am now the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.

After this, simply believe it in your heart.
